Fauna and their flora food
Animals, birds, insects, butterflies and other creatures of our region are pictured with one of the plants they need to sustain them. Almost all birds eat a wide range of the foods offered by flora, while some creatures depend upon a more limited range or even a single plant. And they can also depend on the insects which use flora of all kinds as food sources as well.
These plants are available in the Kuranda Conservation Community Nursery and if planted will help to sustain healthy populations of flora and fauna and create a wondrous garden to live in. The animal is pictured first on the left and one or more of its favorite foods follows to the right.
The photographs showcase the talent of Kuranda Conservation members Lorraine Harris, and Diane Daniels with additional photos from Graham Bell. This page is a work in progress!
